Druhý letošní závod, který jsem absolvoval, byly závody v Teplicích nad Metují. Beru rodinku a zábava začíná. Teplice to jsou vždy skvělé závody v prostoru parku, spousta lezců a skvělých diváků, proto sem jezdím tak rád už 15 let.
V kvaldě se mi podaří vylézt všechno, nejvíce mě klasicky potrápí dva kolmáče, první vlevo průtlak, který jsem nakonec vylezl bez velké nohy a řezky vlevo. Druhý kolmáč je asi lehčí, tam jde o to trefit dírku a pak nesjet z oblých Flatholdů. V kvaldě mě zaráží, že není aspoň jeden převis těžší, nakonec to stačí na postup z pátého místa.
Po obědě máme autogramiádu v Singing Rocku, vždy příjemně strávený čas s nadšenými dětmi, jejich rodiči a našimi fanoušky. Naše děti Eliška a Zuzanka řádí v parku, nejdříve na mobilní stěně, pak na slacklajně a na místním dětském hřišti.
Finále holek se nese v těžším duchu, my jdeme na start po 20 h. Jedničku vyběhnu na druhý pokus. Dvojka je shybovací a moc mi nejde podržet levá oblina, tady nezapíšu nic. Trojka je těžký koordinační skok do ruky a nohy, taky ani zóna. Čtyřka kolmice, celkem lehká až pod top a pak se člověk musí dobře postavit na nohy a tady se padá, stačilo jenom přiložit ruce na topovou placičku, bohužel se nedokážu postavit na sklopené nohy. Celkově jeden top a dvě zóny stačí na 6. místo a musím uznat, že to není tak špatný výsledek, na víc jsem neměl. Finálové kolo nebyl můj šálek kávy, tak uvidíme ve Slaném...

Díky fanouškům po čtvrtém boulderu
The second competition of this year that I attended was the one in Teplice nad Metují, I took my family with me, so the fun can begin. The Teplice event is always a great competition in the park, full of climbers and awesome audience, that's why I've been taking part for 15 years and why I like it here.
I manage to climb all the qualification boulders, as usual the verticals are the worst. The first one is a mantel on the left, eventually I finished it without the big foothold and a small hold on the left. The second vertical is probably a bit easier, one just needs to grab a hole and not fall from the round Flatholds. I am surprised that there isn't a single hard overhanging boulder in the qualification. In the end I advance from fifth place.
After lunch we give autographs at the Singing Rock booth, the time spent with keen children, their parents and our fans is always great. Our children Eliška and Zuzanka have fun in the park, first on the mobile wall, then on the slackline and the local children's playground.
The girls' final is a bit more difficult, so we start after 8 p.m. and I run to the top of the first boulder at the second attempt. The second boulder needs a lot of pull-ups and I can't really hold the round hold on the left. The third boulder has a heavy coordination jump with a hand and a foot, no zone for me, either. Number four is a vertical, quite easy until the top comes, and then you need to stand up and that's the part from where people keep falling. I only needed to put my hands on the top hold, unfortunately I couldn't stand up. In total, my one top and two zones make a nice 6th place and I think that it's not such a bad result, I actually don't think I could have done better today. The final was not my cup of coffee, so we'll see how I'll do in Slaný...
