ČP Boulder X Praha Výstaviště

Minulou sobotu se konalo 3. kolo českého poháru v boulderingu. Na závody jsem se moc těšil, jelikož minulý rok to byl závod roku! Počasí na víkend hlásí nic moc, tak si říkám, že až na vyjímky se sejde česká špička. Bohužel opak je pravdou, moc závodníků nepřišlo a jsem z toho dost zklamanej. Jedu s Peťou z Brna vlakem a přešně trefujem čas 1. kvalifikační skupiny, podaří se mi snad poprve v životě v systému " Flash" vylézt všech osm boulderů. Dáme si dobrý oběd, kafe a jdem se mrknout na finále žen, ve kterém Karin a Edita dávají čtyři bouldery na čtyři pokusy. Rozhoduje kvalifikace, ve které byla Karin lepší. Jedna zajímavost je, že Karin ve kvalifikaci a ve finále dala všechny bouldery na první pokus, gratulace! My čekáme na finále, které je na plánu po 19h. Poprve se mi stává, že lezu jako poslední, jsem lehce nervózní, ale hned to ze mě spadne. Většinou si boulder prvním nebo druhým pokusem vymyslím a pak všech pět vylezu, tímto výkonem si zajistím první místo před Kubou Hlaváčkem. Závod byl velice pěkný, tak doufám zase za rok!

Czech Cup in Bouldering (Prague exhibition grounds)

Last Saturday saw the third round of the Czech Cup in bouldering. I was looking forward to the race very much because last year, it was the race of the year for me. The weather forecast for the weekend was rather modest so I expected to see the Czech bouldering élite here. Unfortunately, the opposite was true: Not that many competitors showed up and I was very disappointed. Peťa and I came from Brno by train and we arrived exactly at the time of the first qualification group. Perhaps for the first time in my life, I managed to "flash" climb all 8 boulders at once. We had a tasty lunch and a cup of coffee and then we went to see women's finals where Karin and Edita did 4 boulders at 4 attempts. The qualifications were determinig the results, then, and Karin did better there. I quite interesting note to point out is that Karin did all boulders at the 1st attempt -- both in the qualificatoins and in the finals. Congratulations! We were awaiting the finals scheduled to 7 o'clock. For the first time, I was climbing as the last one. It made me slightly nervous, but it went off with the start. I usually made up the way at the 1st or 2nd attempt and then managed to finishe all of them. That earned me the 1st place (ahead of Kuba Hlaváček). The race was very good -- so hopefully till the next year!
