MČR Slaný a Bor

Město Slaný již po několikáté hostilo MČR v boulderingu. Fantastická stage s převislými profily vypadá luxusně. Pořadatelé chtějí v roce 2018 uskutečnit SP a určitě na to mají! V kvalifikaci mi to celkem jde, podaří se mi dát 8 topů a postup mám v kapse. V sobotu je na semifinále celkem dost teplo a bouldery jsou už o něčem jiném, moc mi to nejde a s odřenýma ušima postupuji mezi nejlepších 6 do večerního finále. V semifinále jsem nechal všechno a jsem dost vyházenej. Finálová jednička je kolmáč, ve kterém nejsem schopen dobře se odrazit ze struktury a nezapisuji ani zónu.



Dvojka přes žluté koule a krátery vypadá luxusně, ale dvakrát padám z topu, který je šíleně těžké udržet, na to jsem fakt neměl.



Ve trojce s klukama vymýšlíme ojeb přes stup, a tímto způsobem je to fakt lehké, pro mě velká škoda, že tady nenaženu nějaké body.



Čtyřku sice jako jediný dávám na první pokus, ale je mi to houby platné, ostatní kluci s přehledem dávají a pro mě, již po několikáté ve Slaném, zůstává bramborová příčka. Dnes na víc nebylo, sportovně musím uznat, že kluci byli lepší, vyhrává brácha, druhý je Roman Kučera a třetí Honza Chvála.



V celkovém hodnocení obsazuji druhou příčku. V neděli dostanu milou povinnost předat nejmladším medaile. Je hezké vidět, jak se děti snaží, připomnělo mi to moje úžasné začátky.



V pondělí jsem ještě dost zničený, ale i přesto vyrážíme s Peťou na Bor,  je parádně a dost si zalezeme. Nejdříve leze Peťa a krásně si zkrokuje Pohádkový Traverz, jsou tam celkem nepříjemné lišty. Jako další z boulderů jí vybírám Marnou Snahu, škoda, že jí přelez o kousíček uniká.



Mně se podaří vylézt novou silovou věc od bráchy, Puroresu, krásná silová komprese s poskoky. Nejdříve jsem si myslel, že to ani nevylezu, ale pak to pouští celkem rychle, i když výlez mě trochu potrápí. Přidávám další sedmičky, některé jsou těžké dost, jiné docela jdou. Pod Drakem slyšíme velkou radost Piotra, který zdolává tuto fantastickou linii ze stoje, gratulace míří jemu. Poslední zastávkou je Čistá Duše, kde je hrozně těžký první krok z malých lišt. Dnes lišty celkem drží a po pár nálezech, konečně stojím v plotně. Doufám, že o víkendu budeme opět tady.



The Slaný town had hosted the Czech Championship in bouldering several times already and this year was no exception. The fantastic stage with the overhanging profiles looks amazing, the organizers have an ambition to host the World Cup in 2018 and I think they really can do it. I'm doing well in the qualification, with 8 tops I pass to the semifinal successfully. 

On Saturday the semifinal weather is quite hot and boulders are very different, so my performance is a bit worse this time - it's very close but in the end I get among the best 6 climbers passing to the evening final. I left the best I had in the semifinal and I'm bushed. 

The first final boulder is a vertical in which I'm not able to bounce form the structure and I don't get even the zone. 

Number two, the boulder with round yellow holds, looks promising but I fall from the top twice - it's super hard to grab it. It was too much for me. 

For the third boulder me and the other guys find a hack using a foothold and with this hack it's pretty easy -  too bad I don't get some extra points here. 

Even though I'm the only one who climbs the fourth boulder at the first attempt, it doesn't help a lot as other guys send it graciously, so in total I end up fourth. I couldn't do better today, though, I have to admit the guys were better: my brother won, Roman Kučera was second and Honza Chvála was third. 

In the overall score I'm second and on Sunday I'm given a nice responsibility of handing the medals over to the youngest competitors. It's good to see the kids' effort, it reminds me of my own beginnings.

On Monday I'm still exhausted but I go to Bor with Peťa anyway. The conditions are great and we enjoy climbing a lot. Peťa climbs first and tries the moves of Pohádkový Traverz, with some unpleasant ledges. The next boulder I choose her is Marná Snaha, unfortunately she doesn't finish. But it was close.

I climb a nice new boulder by my brother, Puroresu, a beautiful power compression with little jumps. First I thought I couldn't do it at all but then it went smoothly, even though the finish wasn't easy. I add some more 7s, some of them are pretty hard, others are ok. Under Drak we can hear Piotr's joy after finishing this wonderful line from standing position. Our last stop is Čistá Duše, with a hard first move form the little ledges. After few attempts I finally stand in the plate. I hope to spend here the next weekend, too.

MS Paříž

Minulý týden proběhlo Mistrovství světa v Paříži, které se konalo v průběhu pěti dnů, a byly zde všechny závodní disciplíny.

My závodíme už ve středu. Rozlezovka parádní, ale teplo je docela dost a nevidím to moc dobře. Na jedničce vymýšlím double skok a na čtvrtý pokus dávám, i když v kroku do topu se pěkně zachvěju a málem padám. Dvojka čistý peklo kolmáč, vlastně pořádně neudělám první krok. Trojka je opět silová, takový kampus, ale nejde mi druhý krok, už mi pomalu dochází čas, tak dám všechno do posledního, konečně udělám druhý krok a s obrovským štěstím se doklepu do topu. V ostatních dvou boulderech jsem temnej, těžké úchopy, necítím žádný progres. Nakonec jsem se zápisem 2t9b dost spokojený, na víc prostě nebylo. Končím těsně před půlkou startovního pole na 59. - 60. místě.

Zbytek disciplín se odehraje v obrovské hale Bercy hned vedle, krásná stěna s lanem, pro nás obrovské zklamání z boulderových profilů. Fandíme českým reprezentantům. Měl jsem velkou radost z postupu Kuby Konečného do semifinále, ten kluk má před sebou velkou budoucnost. Největším zážitkem je pro mě finále boulderu, zajímavé bouldery se zápletkou až do konce závodu, Adam obsazuje fantastické druhé místo. Zajímavá je i rychlost, poprvé vidím tento závod naživo, má dobrý náboj a spád, bohužel našim klukům se nedaří podle jejich představ.

V neděli odlétáme zpět do ČR, je to trochu škoda, protože Adam leze finále obtížnosti, kde fantasticky obhajuje titul mistra světa. Velmi zajímavé na tom je, že naposledy se to povedlo našemu Mrázovi v letech 2003 a 2005...

Last week the World Championship took place in Paris and with all the disciplines it lasted five days.

Our competition was on Wednesday. The warm up is cool but the weather is quite hot so I'm slightly pessimistic. I finish the first boulder at the fourth attempt, making up a double leap, even though I hesitate a bit under the top and nearly fall. Number two is a pure vertical hell, actually I don't get past the first move... Number three is a power campus climb, I can't finish the second move and I'm running out of time, so I give the last attempt everything I have and with a lot of luck I get to the top. With the last two boulders I'm hopeless, I can't grab the holds and I see no progress. In the end I'm satisfied, though, my score (2t9b) is enough to be in the better half of the participants - at the 59th-60th place.

The rest of the disciplines were in the Bercy hall with an amazing wall for rope climbers, we were a bit disappointed by the bouldering profiles. We cheered the Czech competitors and I'm really happy for Kuba Konečný who got to the semifinal - the guy has a potential, trust me. The greatest experience is the bouldering final - the boulders are tricky and interesting. Adam is second, which is fantastic. The pace is also impressive- it's the first time I see this competition live and it's really quick and interesting, unfortunately the Czech guys aren't doing as well as they want. On Sunday we fly back to Czech Republic. It's a pity as Adam also gets to the final of difficulty climbing and defends championship. Last time a Czech climber (Mráz) achieved this in 2003 and 2005...
