Naše finále je n aprogramu od 19h a začíná být už trochu lépe, slunko sice pořád svítí, ale začíná příjemně pofukovat. Leze se stylem tří pokusů na každý boulder. V jedničce je pěkný skok, který dám napodruhé, a pak ještě těžké přetlačení bočáků, se štěstím držím výlezovou hranu. Dvojka je zajímavý traverz s těžkou závěrečnou oblinou a skokem do madla, podaří se mi také na druhý pokus. Trojka je nejlehčí a všichni finalisté přelézají. Naopak technickou čtyřku nepřeleze nikdo. Až po závodě nám Dejv prozradí fintu a s ní už to jde. Celkem mám 3 bouldery na 5 pokusů a stačí mi to na super 2. místo, o pokus vyhrává brácha, třetí končí Rishat. Díky klukům za bouldery a třeba za rok příště.
I took part in the Boulder Open Air contest in Brno for the first time. The weather is sunny and very hot. The qualification consists of 13 boulders made by David Kozel and Suk. Three of the boulders give me hard time, one of them is technical, the other two with laminate holds - and all are pretty tough. In the end I climb all the boulders which means a ticket to the final for me. The girls start climbing at 5 p.m. and I feel sorry for them, it's still very hot. The winner is Peťa Růžičková.
Our final starts at 7 p.m. and even though the sun is still shining it is much better and there is this nice cool breeze starting to blow. We have three attempts for each final boulder. The first boulder has a cool jump, which costs me one attempt, and then the hard side-pulls, I am lucky to reach the final edge. Number two is an interesting travers with a hard round hold and a jump to the bucket, I also need two attempts here. The third boulder is the easiest and all the finalists finish. On the other hand the technical boulder number four stays unconquered until Dejv gives us a hint after the contest. In all I have 3 boulders in 5 attempts and it's enough for an amazing 2nd place. My bro is one attempt better than me and Rishat ends up 3rd. Thanks a lot to the guys for building the boulders and hope to see you all next year.
