Fesťák 2019

Po dlouhé době konečně další závody: jako každý rok je tu koncem prázdnin fesťák. Letos mě překvapuje, kolik je tady lidí a aut, parkuji až na vrchní louce. Parádní převislé profily, letos přibyla pětačtyřicítka. Kvalda se mi leze těžkopádně, ve dvou boulderech už padám, ale nějakým zázrakem se udržím, včetně kolmáče přes růžové struktury. V nejtěžší silovce měním program a dávám hned, předtím mě to bráchovým náskokem za osm nepustilo. S kvaldou jsem velice spokojený a doufám v lepší výkon ve finále, ten se ale bohužel nekoná.

V jedničce si fest natáhnu záda, přijde mi, že je mám slabší a slabší – no, věk také hraje roli :) Přemýšlím, jestli dokončit závod, nebo ne, řeknu si ale, že to zkusím, když u toho neomdlím a bolestí se nepustím, tak proč ne. Ve dvojce ubojuji skokanskou zónu, dále mě limituje krok přes patu, tady záda bolí fest. Ve trojce dávám náskok do kráteru na druhý, v prvním pokusu se snažím vymýšlet blbosti. Silová čtyřka bohužel moc nejde, patami si nemůžu pomoci, tak se snažím hloupě skákat po chytech a to je nad moje síly. Celkově jeden top a 4 zóny a umisťuji se na solidímím pátém místě, cíl byla bedna, ale ta byla daleko.

Za zmínku stojí čtvrté místo Chváliče, který závodí po dvou letech. Lezl jsem s ním v úterý a věděl jsem, že nebude do počtu. Viděl jsem ho jako kandidáta na bednu, talent, šikovnost se neztrácí a silově na tom také nebyl úplně špatně. Třetí je Roman, druhý Vojta a všechno vyžehlí na OS brácha, pěkný výkon. Chápu, že pro něho to bylo lehké, jelikož v Japonsku mají mnohem těžší bouldery a svět je úplně jinde... Pěkné bouldery a  závod, ale fesťák nikdy špatný nebude...

After long time there is finally another competition, the climbing festival which, as always, takes place at the end of summer. This year I'm surprised by how many people and cars came, the nearest parking spot is on the upper meadow.

I'm a bit clumsy during the qualification, I nearly fall from two boulders but somehow I manage to hold there, even the vertical doesn't stop me. I change the programme for the power boulder and finish it immediately after that, my brother's way didn't work for me. I'm quite satisfied about the qualification and hope to do better during the final. Which I don't, unfortunately.

I strained my back on the first boulder and gradually it's getting worse. I guess my age is taking its toll :) I'm considering quitting this competition but in the end I decide to continue. I get to the zone of the second boulder but then I'm stopped by the move with the heel, my back hurts a lot here. Then I jump to the hole of the third boulder at the second attempt. The fourth boulder, a power climb, is too hard, as I can't engage my heels and jumping on the holds doesn't work. In total I have one top and four zones and I'm fifth, which is very good. I was hoping to be the best three but this time I was very far from that.

It's worth mentioning that Chválič, who has take a two-year break from competitions, earned the fourth place. I saw him training on Tuesday and I knew he would be good today. I could imagine that he would be among the best three, his talent hasn't changed and he was pretty strong, too. Roman is third, Vojta second and my brother wins as he climbs all the boulders OS, well done! I understand this is a piece of cake for him as there are much harder boulders in Japan and the boulders out in the world are on a competely different level... Here the boulders were very good and so was the competition, I don't think the festival being bad is really an option...
