On Sunday I planned to go climbing somewhere, I was looking into Hirschwände or a much closer remainder near Polička. To be honest, I didn't feel like driving somewhere 200 km for two hours of climbing but my desire to see a new area and my chances in ceiling boulders have been increasing lately. My finger had been hurting since the decathlon but it is fine by Sunday, and my body is fresh. Only the weather was bad, fog and drizzling in Brno but it ended like in an American movie about 10 km before Hischwande when you cross to another valley--suddenly nice blue sky, I don't get this.
Lately I've been struggling with finding boulders. I missed the area and had troubles finding the boulders. However, about half an hour of intensive tourism on an unpleasant slope I find my goal--an amazing ceiling. Without respect I warm up in this beautiful line and the steps are quite easy. The steps require a lot of power from all body, the handholds are nice and practically on pure ceiling. There are two exits, one a bit harder (Leiwand 8B) and the other one House of Pain 8A+, I make them both. Today it was surprisingly easy, either this climbing style fits me or I am in shape, or, a third possibility, the class is lower... but who knows. Now I am looking forward to the opposite hill and Merkenstein.
